YOHOLIFE® · Quality & Technical Support

Clear specifications. Informed ingredient decisions.

Ingredient evaluation starts with a clear understanding of the material, the specification and the intended application. YOHOLIFE® connects origin tracing, controlled manufacturing and development support to help partners define the information needed for their projects.

Define the material before the project

Our catalogue presents source-part information, powder descriptions and specification ranges. These details provide a starting point for comparison and technical discussion; the specification for your selected product should be confirmed during the enquiry.

Source & plant part

Identify the ingredient and material used, such as root, leaf, seed, bark or mushroom fruiting body.

Physical description

Review the listed powder characteristics alongside the requirements of your intended formulation.

Active level or ratio

Specify the target compound level or extract ratio, and identify any customization needs.

For example, the current Rhodiola Rosea Extract product profile describes a light-brown fine powder from root, with rosavins at 0.5–6% and salidroside at 0.5–98%. Specifications can be customized according to client requirements.

Technical reading

How to read a botanical extract specification

A useful specification connects the ingredient, its measurement and the documents for the selected grade.

What should an extract specification include?

Identify the ingredient, source part, target constituent or extract ratio, and analytical method where supplied.

Include the reference standard when it forms part of the assay, alongside any carrier, dispersibility or storage requirements.

How is the 30%+ cranberry PAC specification measured?

YOHOLIFE® offers a cranberry extract specified at 30% or more total soluble proanthocyanidins (PACs) by BL-DMAC / UV-Vis, expressed as procyanidin A2 equivalents.

The assay uses procyanidin A2 as its reference standard and measures absorbance at 640 nm; it does not establish isolated A-type PAC purity.

This is a company-supplied specification; confirm the selected grade and batch COA when enquiring.

Does 75% bamboo silica mean 75% elemental silicon?

The documented YOHOLIFE® Bamboo Extract grade specifies silicon dioxide (SiO₂) at ≥75.0%, measured by ICP-OES.

The percentage refers to silicon dioxide, not elemental silicon or an extract ratio.

This stem-derived Moso Bamboo powder contains a maltodextrin carrier and is highly dispersible in water.

What does 3% rosavins and 1% salidroside describe?

This is one conventional Rhodiola rosea extract specification; total rosavins comprises rosavin, rosarin and rosin, while salidroside is a separate constituent.

YOHOLIFE® currently lists reference ranges of rosavins 0.5%–6% and salidroside 0.5%–98%; requested combinations are reviewed for feasibility and availability.

How do a specification, COA and TDS differ?

A product specification describes the stated requirements for a grade; a Certificate of Analysis (COA) reports results for an identified batch.

A Technical Data Sheet (TDS) provides formulation guidance; the documented Bamboo Extract TDS does not replace its specification or batch COA.

Ask us which documents are available for the ingredient and grade you are evaluating.

How do sourcing evidence and specifications inform a quote?

Our field notes record visits to partner cultivation bases in Hebei and Heilongjiang, China; cultivation and livelihood figures are attributed to the partners who supplied them.

Read these sourcing accounts alongside the selected ingredient’s specification and available batch documentation.

For a quotation, send your target specification, quantity, assay requirements, destination market and company details; feasibility, availability and price are confirmed after review.

Document basis

Technical examples draw on the YOHOLIFE® Cranberry BL-DMAC UV-Vis method, the Bamboo Extract 75% compliance pack and our published Rhodiola field notes.

Connect origin with reproducible production

Our ingredient development approach begins with defined botanical origin, controlled sourcing and traceable raw-material systems. Controlled manufacturing is designed to translate those materials into reproducible, batch-consistent outputs. R&D and application work connect this approach with the requirements of the intended formulation.

Share any source, manufacturing or application requirements at the start of your enquiry so they can be considered alongside the product specification.

Request the information your team needs

Technical documentation

Technical documentation support forms part of our development and supply services. Tell us which information your evaluation requires.

COA support

Request Certificate of Analysis (COA) support for your product review. We will confirm the documentation available for the selected ingredient.

Development support

Support can include concept co-development, small-batch pilot extraction and testing, and discussion of customized specifications.

Document availability and the information that can be supplied depend on the selected product and project. Please identify any specific document, data or evaluation requirement when contacting us.

Samples & technical enquiries

How do I request a sample?

Send the ingredient name, target specification, intended application and destination market. Sample availability, the applicable specification and supply details should be confirmed as part of your enquiry.

Can I request a different specification?

Yes. Our customization services include concentration and ratio adjustments, target active-compound levels, extraction options, carrier and solubility modification, and blends. Discuss the options relevant to your ingredient.

Which documents can I receive?

We offer technical documentation and COA support. The available document set is confirmed for each ingredient and project. Share the information your technical team needs for its evaluation.
